Congratulations to Tyler Bailey who signed on Saturday for an early enlistment with the Georgia Army National Guard! Tyler is a current Junior at HCHS and will begin training this summer with the National Guard. He will begin his full-time enlistment upon Graduation in 2025. He plans to train with the National Guard in cyber security and computer programming. We are proud of your commitment to serving our nation. Thank you!

Yesterday we had the honor of hosting Carroll EMC and West Georgia Technical College as they spoke about their Lineman programs. A recent graduate of HCHS, Jacob Watts spoke to our students about the Lineman Scholarship he received from Carroll EMC and the Lineman Program offered through West Georgia Tech. He offered great insight for our current students interested in this career path. Thank you to everyone who took the time to invest in our students regarding their future careers!

Congratulations to Jordyn May on receiving the Fellows Presidential Scholarship from LaGrange College! This scholarship will cover $130,000 over four years. Jordyn is planning on majoring in Psychology to pursue a career in Somatic Therapy. Jordyn is excited to be part of the LaGrange College community and plans to take advantage of all LC has to offer! Congratulations to Chloe Costley, Emily Mock, and Skylar Whitmer on being awarded Presidential Scholarships from LaGrange College! These scholarships will cover $130,000 in educational costs over 4 years. Chloe hopes to pursue a degree in Nursing and is "super excited because it allows me to have an awesome academic opportunity, while also having financial freedom. Most people don't get an opportunity like this so I'm extremely thankful!" Emily will pursue a degree in Exercise Science or Education and plans to "make LC proud for honoring me with this once-in-a-lifetime gift. This opportunity will help tremendously in my future educational journey and my career. Words can not even describe how grateful and excited I am for this opportunity." Skylar is pursuing a degree in Biology and is "incredibly grateful for receiving this scholarship. It is a true honor that will help me pursue my dreams and further my education.
