Dear HCES Families,
This year we are excited to announce that we are going to try something new. Easter falls on the first Sunday of
Spring Break. In the past, our lower grades have scheduled Easter Egg Hunts on their own. As we were talking with
some of the teachers, they made the comment that they may schedule an egg hunt for the next school year.
That conversation got us all discussing a School-Wide Easter Egg Hunt. We are going to give it a try this year. This
event will take place on Friday, March 29th. This is the last day before Spring Break. We are going to assign areas for
each grade level and we will have to schedule this in two shifts to ensure that everyone gets the opportunity to hunt
eggs. We will send home the schedule closer to March 29th. This will be an event where families can come join in.
We are planning to provide all students with an Easter Basket, but we have a request from you. If you are willing
and able, we are requesting that students bring in 15-20 stuffed eggs. These eggs will be the eggs that we will hide
on the day of the egg hunt. Each grade level will have a tub where they will be able to collect the eggs that are
brought in by students. If you would rather send in a monetary donation, we would appreciate the support. It is
going to take a lot of eggs to hide for 740 students.
We are looking forward to this event and we hope you can join us on March 29th. If you have any questions,
